FAQ

About Our Service

What types of healthcare facilities do you serve?

We serve hospitals, surgery centers, outpatient clinics, urgent care centers, dental offices, physician practices, skilled nursing facilities, and assisted living communities. If your facility generates healthcare linen, we can build a route around it.

What's included in a medical linen service program?

A full program covers pickup, validated washing, inspection, and delivery on a scheduled route. We manage your par levels, handle soiled-linen logistics, and assign a dedicated account manager to your account.

Do you handle scrubs and staff uniforms as well as patient linen?

Yes. We launder scrubs, lab coats, and reusable isolation gowns through the same validated, separated process as patient linen. Many facilities bundle both programs on a single route and invoice.

What is par level management?

Par level management means we calculate how much linen your facility needs to operate without running short, stage that inventory for each delivery, and adjust as your census or volume changes. You're not counting carts. We are.

FAQ

Process & Hygiene Standards

What does 'hygienically clean' mean for medical linen?

Hygienically clean means microbial contamination has been reduced to a safe level through a validated time, temperature, and chemistry-controlled process. It's a documented standard, not just a visual inspection. In a clinical setting, visibly clean is not the standard.

What disinfection standards does CareLinen Medical follow?

Our process is aligned with Healthcare Laundry Accreditation Council (HLAC) standards, which cover everything from soiled-linen handling through washing, finishing, transport, and delivery. Disinfection is validated and documented, not assumed.

How do you prevent cross-contamination between soiled and clean linen?

Soiled and clean linen are kept physically separated throughout the entire process. Soiled items arrive through a dedicated intake, staff follow barrier handling protocols, and clean linen never comes into contact with the soiled side. That separation is maintained from pickup through delivery.

FAQ

Getting Started and Switching Providers

How do I switch from my current linen service provider?

Start by requesting a quote. We'll review your current program, assess your volumes and par levels, and build a transition plan that keeps your facility running without a gap. Most facilities switch without any service interruption.

How long does onboarding take?

Onboarding typically takes one to three weeks, depending on facility size and route complexity. We inventory your linen, set up separated pickup and delivery logistics, establish your par levels, and assign your account manager before the first live delivery.

Do you offer a contract, or is service month to month?

We offer service agreements structured around your facility's needs. Contract terms, pricing, and any volume commitments are discussed during the quote process. We'll walk you through what a standard agreement looks like before you commit to anything.

What happens if I need a stat delivery outside my regular schedule?

Your account manager handles it. Stat deliveries for census surges, unexpected shortages, or emergency needs are part of what a managed linen program provides. Call or message your account manager directly.

FAQ

Pricing

How is medical linen service priced?

Pricing is based on your facility type, linen volume, delivery frequency, and the mix of services you need. Most programs are priced per pound processed or per piece and are then finalized as a monthly service agreement. We don't publish a standard rate card because no two facilities have the same requirements.

Is there a setup fee or minimum volume requirement?

There is no setup fee. Most routes do have a minimum volume requirement to cover logistics. We'll confirm the minimum for your area during the quote conversation, with no surprises after you sign.

What does it cost to switch providers?

Switching itself doesn't carry a cost from our side. In most cases, we can match your current pricing. You'll want to review your current contract for any exit terms, and we can help you time the transition to work within them.

Still have a question?

Tell us your facility type and weekly volume, and we'll answer it as part of your quote.
